Provided is a fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol and that exhibits excellent sweetness. The present invention is a sweetness modifier that is for a fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol, said sweetness modifier comprising a triacylglycerol that serves as an active ingredient and that comprises a C6-12 medium-chain fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid. The present invention is also a fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol and that comprises: a sugar alcohol; a fat; and the sweetness modifier for the fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol. The present invention is also a sweetness modification method for a fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol, wherein triacylglycerols that comprise a C6-12 medium-chain fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid constitute 0.5-100 mass% of the fats within the fat-containing foodstuff that contains a sugar alcohol.
