PURPOSE: An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method thereof are provided to connect two gate electrodes around the peripheral part of an array substrate, thereby maximizing an aperture ratio. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of thin film transistors(116) comprises a first gate electrode(122a), an active layer(124), and a second gate electrode(122b). The first gate electrode is connected to a first gate line(112a). The second gate electrode is placed on the active layer and is connected to a second gate line(112b). A plurality of pixel electrodes(118) is connected to a plurality of drain electrodes respectively. |
