PURPOSE: A method of driving a plasma display panel is provided to improve a contrast ratio using a sub-frame driving method. CONSTITUTION: A sub-frame selects many scan lines in each sustain pulse cycle to address data and other scan lines maintain discharge by the sustain pulse. The many scan lines are selected to perform erasure discharge and a preliminary discharge for forming wall charge on the scan line at the same time, wherein lighting discharge is selectively performed thereon, the erasure pulse is smaller than width of the lighting pulse for the preliminary discharge, and voltage of the erasure pulse is higher than that of the lighting pulse. |
