The invention relates to a continuous-casting mould, in particular for the continuous casting of thin slabs. Said mould comprises a pouring zone (4) which is thicker than the cross-section (5) of the continuous cast and which extends at least partially into the depth of the mould (1), the walls (2, 2') of said zone tapering continuously from the widest section. The pouring zone is delimited laterally and in the direction of transport of the cast by lateral walls (3, 3') of a narrow section, which are in particular adjustable. The walls (2) of the widest section of the mould (1) have opposing zones (6, 6') positioned respectively at the same height on horizontal planes and extending in an approximately linear and parallel manner. When viewed from the cross-section of a vertical plane (II-II), the parallel zones (6) follow, at a continuously reducing height of the mould (1), an at least partially curved contour line (7 and 7'), which opens tangentially into an equidistant end zone (8) of the mould (1). On both sides of the parallel pouring zone (6), zones respectively follow in the direction of the lateral walls (3) of the narrow section, at a continuously reducing height of the mould (1), a substantially S-shaped contour line (10), which is formed from at least two radii (R3, R4) connected to one another, having optionally a straight connecting line.
