PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver for selecting a user's desired image as a background image of a text image. SOLUTION: The television receiver includes an image synthesizing circuit 121 for carrying out synthesizing process of a text image which is generated from a text processing circuit 102, and a user's desired image which is generated from a non-volatile storage media 108.
