A variable length type connector is provided to enable the tele-in/out length of a steering column to be received in two male/female connectors matching each other, thereby preventing the generation of rattle noise by interference between neighboring parts and a wire caused by the drooping of the wire and a connection error and short caused by the damage of the wire. A male connector includes a male terminal(30) and a male housing(20). A fixing portion(32) and a contact portion(34) are electrically connected to each other. The fixing portion fixes a wire(70). The contact portion has a predetermined length. The male housing includes a male terminal(30) and a female terminal hole(22). The male terminal is mounted in the inside of the male housing. The female terminal hole is formed into the male terminal. A male connector includes a female terminal and a female housing. In the female terminal, a fixing portion(62) and a contact portion(64) are electrically connected to each other. The fixing unit fixes the wire. The contact portion has a predetermined length. The female terminal is inserted into the female connector so as for the contact portion to slide while being in contact with the contact portion. A female terminal is mounted in the inside of the female connector. A receiving hole is formed so that the male housing is joined to the receiving hole and slides.
