PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an air of luxuriousness and a quality of elegance for a long period on cloisonne-glazed personal ornaments by preventing their colors and tones from changing with lapse of time. SOLUTION: In personal ornaments such as a broach, a sterling silver plated layer 3 is formed on the surface of a gold or gold alloy base material 2 of the ornaments, and then a cloisonne layer 5 with cloisonne glaze is formed on the sterling silver plated layer 3. The manufacturing method of the ornaments is such that the surface of the gold or gold alloy base material 2 of the ornaments is subjected to the sterling silver plating and that the sterling silver plated layer 3 is then applied thereon with the cloisonne glaze to form the cloisonne layer 5.
