PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for electronically controlling a bicycle gearshift and a bicycle electronic system capable of preventing any delayed action, degraded performance or delayed function. SOLUTION: The method for executing a plurality of gearshifts in a bicycle comprises (a) a step of transmitting requests (P1, P2, P3, etc.) for a single gearshift from an electronic control unit 2, (b) a step (201) of receiving the requests for the single gearshift in a drive unit 4 , (c) a step of repeating at least two times the steps (206, 207) of moving a chain of the gearshift between two adjacent gears by the drive unit 4 to execute the single gearshift, and (d) a step (205) of intentional waiting during the waiting time (T1, T2, T3, etc.) to be performed during two executions of the step (c).
