PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a resin chassis for a liquid crystal display device, in which a production amount of chips caused by fins in a circumference part of a liquid crystal panel, the fins scraping a resin chassis, can be reduced and the size of scraping chips itself can be also reduced. SOLUTION: A positioning part 3 (3') of a resin chassis 2 (2') side for positioning a liquid crystal panel 101 is made in a wedge-like (semicircular or half-ellipse) form so that the contact part between the positioning part 3 (3') and fins 110 formed in the circumference part of the liquid crystal panel 101 is rendered into a point contact, which reduces the generation amount of chips caused by the fins 110 scraping the positioning part 3 (3') as well as reduces the size of the scraping chips. Even when the chips intrude into a gap between a backlight 102 and the liquid crystal panel 101, the size of an abnormal black spot upon driving the liquid crystal display device 1 (1') is reduced, which assures the display quality of the liquid crystal display device 1 (1').
