<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving operation device which provides a user of a clear operation feeling, and facilitates layout change. <P>SOLUTION: A push switch 5 is installed on the surface 2a of a liquid crystal panel 2 by using an adhesive or a double-face adhesive tape. The push switch 5 outputs electromagnetic waves according to operations by a user. An operation detecting part 7, which is provided on the back surface of the liquid crystal panel 2, detects the electromagnetic waves from the push switch 5 to detect the operations by the user to the push switch 5.
