An apparatus and a method for auto-preheating and starting in a vehicle are provided to start an engine without turning an ignition key into start position after the pre-heating of an engine is completed. An apparatus for auto-preheating and starting in a vehicle comprises a start key(11) outputting ignition II signal, a temperature sensor(12) detecting cooling water temperature, a battery(13) supplying voltage required to an initial start, a control part(10) subject to the voltage of a battery, a pre-heater(15) preheating an engine through a control of the control part in case the ignition II signal from the start key is input to controller, and a starter motor(16) working in case an ignition II signal from the start key is input to the controller and the operation of a pre-heater is completed. |
