<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably specify a desired printer when a plurality of printers are connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A print system includes a user terminal and a plurality of printers A, B, and C. The printers each include: a command processing section for receiving and analyzing a print search command from the user terminal and determining whether the user information of the printer search command coincides with previously input user information when a printer specification function is ON; and a command response section for transmitting a printer search command response with the printer specification flag set to ON when the user information is in agreement to the user terminal. The user terminal comprises: a command transmission section for transmitting a printer search command with user information added thereto to a plurality of printers; a command determination section for determining whether the printer specification flag is ON by receiving and analyzing the printer search command response from a plurality of printers; and a display control section for displaying only the printer that has transmitted the printer search command response with the printer specification flag set to ON on a printer selection screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
