<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device capable of improving input and output performance without requiring switching of a lead acid battery and an electric double layer capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 5 includes a lead acid battery 1 in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate retaining an active material on a current collector are wound through a separator and an electric double layer capacitor 2 in which a bipolar electrode plate arranging electrolytic liquid layer on both sides is laminated through a separator. The electric double layer capacitor 2 is connected in parallel directly to the lead acid battery 1. A powder rolled sheet in which powder of lead alloy containing tin respectively is rolled out is used for the current collector of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate of the lead acid battery 1. In the electric double layer capacitor 2, the number N of constituent cells is determined so that the voltage in which the external impressing voltage is divided equally by the constituent cell number N may not exceed the decomposition voltage of water constituting the electrolytic liquid.
