摘要 Efficient display of search results. A method includes receiving a query specifying a search object for a dataset. Data items in the dataset are able to be viewed or navigated to in an active region of a user interface. The active region is a portion of a display which is primarily configured for use by a user to view, navigate to for viewing, add, remove or edit the data items in the dataset. The method rearranges data items in the dataset to aggregate together data items of the dataset that include a match for the search object. The method includes providing the rearranged dataset through the active region of the user interface, such that a user can view or navigate to the aggregated data items in the dataset as well as other data items in the dataset.

In a computing environment, a system for efficient searching, the system comprising: one or more computer processors; and one or more computer-readable media coupled to the one or more processors, wherein the one or more computer-readable media comprise computer-executable instructions that when executed by at least one of the one or more processors cause the following to be performed: receiving a query specifying a search object for a dataset comprising data items, wherein the data items in the dataset are able to be viewed or navigated to in an active region of a user interface, wherein the active region is a portion of a display in which is primarily configured for use by a user to view, navigate to for viewing, add, remove or edit the data items in the dataset;a dataset sort module rearranging the order of the data items in the dataset to aggregate together a subset of the data items that include a match for the search object; andproviding the rearranged dataset, including data items that have a match for the search object and data items that do not have a match for the search object, through the active region of the user interface such that a user can view or navigate to the aggregated data items in the dataset as well as other data items in the dataset.
