A seat arrangement for a vehicle includes a side airbag. The seat arrangement includes a support frame to which the side airbag is fixed in position and which is upholstered by an upholstery member. A cover terminates the seat arrangement toward an outer side. A tear seam is provided for an abrupt opening of the cover by the side airbag. A non-expandable surface structure is provided at both sides of the tear seam, which is counter-supported on the seat arrangement.
