Provided is a steel sheet for hot pressing, which enables a steel component to stably achieve high strength, and which enables good performance of blanking before hot pressing, while being capable of suppressing oxidization of the steel sheet surface and elimination of a zinc plating layer during the hot pressing. This steel sheet for hot pressing is characterized by containing, in mass%, from 0.15% to 0.40% (inclusive) of C, from 1.00% to 2.00% (inclusive) of Si, from 1.50% to 3.00% (inclusive) of Mn, from (N × 48/14)% to 0.10% (inclusive) of Ti, from 0.0005% to 0.0050% (inclusive) of B, more than 0% but 0.10% or less of Al, more than 0% but 0.05% or less of P, more than 0% but 0.01% or less of S and more than 0% but 0.010% or less of N with the balance made up of iron and unavoidable impurities. This steel sheet for hot pressing is also characterized by having a dislocation density of 10 × 1014/m2 or more, an area ratio of pearlite in all the structure of 30% or more, and a tensile strength of 1,100 MPa or less. |
