Provided are a data transmission method and a terminal. The method comprises: a terminal allocating a first download range to a first network card and allocating a second download range to a second network card according to a download range of acquired data to be downloaded; and if the terminal judges that when a pre-set download time is reached, the first network card completes the downloading of the first download range and the second network card does not complete the downloading of the second download range, the terminal then executing a first allocation operation at least once, so as to reduce the download duration of the data to be downloaded.
