PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the focus of a lens for even a subject whose contour component in the horizontal direction is zero or very low.SOLUTION: An imaging device according to the present invention is the one that joins with a lens unit having a focusing function and which has an imaging unit, a video signal processing unit, a video signal output unit, and a signal processing unit. The signal processing unit has means for generating a first AF evaluation value from a luminance signal outputted from the video signal processing unit by differentiation and in-frame integration, means for generating a second AF evaluation value from the luminance signal by one-line integration and inter-frame integration, and maximum value detection means for detecting a maximum value from the first AF evaluation value or the second AF evaluation value, the maximum value detection means generating a focus control signal for the lens unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
