<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve adjustment and stabilization of an attitude angle of a slider and writing and reading of data with a high recording density without affecting displacement characteristics of a head. <P>SOLUTION: A head assembly includes: a slider 14 with a head element; a load beam; a supporting point provided at a tip of the load beam; a slider supporting plate that supports the slider around the supporting point so that the slider can rotate freely; a driving element that provides a torque along a plane to the slider supporting plate; a first link portion 33a<SB>3</SB>that has at both ends, a first tip joint portion mechanically coupled to the slider supporting plate and a first base end joint portion mechanically coupled to the load beam; and a second link portion 33b<SB>3</SB>that has at both ends, a second tip joint portion mechanically coupled to the slider supporting plate and a second base end joint portion mechanically coupled to the load beam, wherein an extended line of the first link portion and an extended line of the second link portion are both directed toward a position of the supporting point and are orthogonal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
