PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable firing at 800-1,000 deg.C and to obtain porcelain for high frequency having a low dielectric loss in a high frequency domain of >=30 GHz and capable of adjusting its relative dielectric constant in the range of 5-80. SOLUTION: A compsn. prepd. by adding 0.05-20 wt.% B2 O3 or 0.1-30 wt.% glass contg. SiO2 and B2 O3 to a multiple oxide contg. at least Zn, Ti and Si as an atomic compsn. represented by the formula nZn.(Ti1-y Siy ) (where 0<y<1.0 and 0.14<=n<=3.5) is compacted and fired at 800-1,000 deg.C in an oxidizing atmosphere to obtain the objective porcelain contg. a willemite crystal phase 2 contg. at least Zn and Si, a spinel type crystal phase 1, an ilmenite type crystal phase 4 and at least one of a TiO2 crystal phase and an SiO2 crystal phase and having a dielectric constant of 5-80 and a dielectric loss of <=30×10<-4> at 30-60 GHz. |
