<p>A method for preparing an acid catalyst, which comprises a step of adding a quasi-Boehmite as a binder to a hydroxide of zirconium having been subjected to a sulfation treatment and kneading the resultant product with an aqueous solution containing one or more of the metals belonging to Group VIII, or a step of preparing a one or more of the metals belonging to Group VIII carried on a hydroxide of zirconium having been subjected to a sulfation treatment, adding a quasi-Boehmite as a binder and kneading the resultant product with water, followed by molding and firing at a temperature of 550 to 800 ° C; a solid acid catalyst prepared by said method; and a method for hydrodesulfurization isomerization of a light hydrocarbon oil using said catalyst.</p> |
