PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detection device for a tilt type attachment having high detection accuracy, capable of executing load detection without being influenced by the change in the position of the center of gravity of a measured object. SOLUTION: A tilt type lifting magnet 4 is tilted by being operated by a rocking cylinder 5 rockable around an arm tip pin 11 and connected to a link mechanism LI by a rocking pin 10. The magnitude and the direction of a force working on the arm tip pin 11 and the magnitude and the direction of a force working on the rocking pin 10 are detected by pin type load cells 10L, 11L mounted on respective pins. The resultant force of the forces working on the two pins is calculated, and the total load of a lifted load 30 and the attachment 4 is calculated, and the load of the attachment 4 is subtracted from the total load, to thereby calculate the load of the lifted load 30.
