PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device which can have its observation state switched easily and speedily without interrupting the sample observation. SOLUTION: As for the microscope device which can have its observation state switched, a microscope control part 20 sets the observation state of a microscope main body 1 according to the indication of an observation condition changeover switch 19a and the set observation state is recorded in a 1st recording part 22a of the observation state recording part 22; when a return switch 19c is operated after the microscope control part 20 sets an observation state different from the starting observation state, the observation condition in the 1st recording part 22a is read out by a state return control part 21 to put the microscope main body 1 back into the starting observation state.
