COATED OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated optical fiber cable and a method for manufacturing the same in which the block jacket resin is sufficiently and uniformly hardened, the block jacket resin can be easily and thoroughly removed, and the sticky state of the cable surface is sufficiently suppressed. SOLUTION: The coated optical fiber cable 1 consists of coated optical fibers 2a to 2d disposed parallel to one another and a block jacket resin 3 which covers and integrate the coated optical fibers 2a to 2d. The block jacket resin 3 is obtained by hardening a UV-curing resin composition containing 2- methyl-1-[4-(methylthio)phenyl]-2-morpholino-propan-1-one by 0.5 to 0.9 wt.% based on the whole composition and 2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl diphenylphosphineoxide by 1.0 to 1.5 wt.% based on the whole composition.
