Pharmaceutical formulation comprising bicalutamide

A pharmaceutical formulation for mucosal administration to a patient, the formulation comprising bicalutamide in solid dispersion with an enteric polymer having a pKa from 3 to 6 wherein the enteric polymer is preferably hydroxypropyl methylcellulose phthalate (HPMCP); the daily dose of bicalutamide comprises from 25 to 1000 mg; and the use of the enteric polymer in solid dispersion with bicalutamide in the manufacture of a medicament for treating and/or reducing the risk of prostate cancer.
