PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ohmic-heating device for a food wherein food heating efficiency is improved and wear of an electrode by a spark can be prevented by properly securing an area of an electrode contacting with a food. SOLUTION: This ohmic-heating device is provided with a conveying means 2 conveying the food S, an upper electrode 3 arranged in the upper part of the conveying means 2, a lower electrode 4 facing the upper electrode 3 and arranged in the lower part of the food S to apply an electric current, and a power source 5 applying voltage between the upper electrode 3 and the lower electrode 4. The upper electrode 3 comprises a plurality of electrodes 31 arranged in parallel in a conveyance direction and many ring-shaped electrodes 32 loosely fitted to each electrode 31 and hung swingably.
