PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost in a portable information terminal unit. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal unit has first and second bodies 1, 3 and a connection section 2 for connecting the first body 1 to the second one 3. One surface of the first body 1 can be folded via the connection section 2, while the surface is close to the second body 3. On one surface of the first body 1, a first display element 1a is provided; and on the other of the first body 1, a second display element 1b1 is provided. In the portable information terminal unit, 2.2<L<SB>A</SB>/L<SB>B</SB><8 is satisfied, where L<SB>A</SB>is the diagonal length of the first display unit 1a, and L<SB>B</SB>is that of the second unit 1b.
