PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding type portable terminal, capable of improving sound emitting performance irrespective of the state of a sliding section and realizing improvement in the flexibility of design. SOLUTION: The sliding-type portable terminal has a first enclosure provided with a sound emitting means at a predetermined position, and a second enclosure sliding for the first enclosure. The terminal has a sound-emitting hole provided on any one of the first enclosure and the second enclosure, and emitting sounds of the sound-emitting means to the outside.
