PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array antenna apparatus in which the number of interconnect lines can be decreased. SOLUTION: A pair of variable capacity diodes D1 and D2 of an electronic control waveguide antenna are connected in series in reverse direction and resistive elements R1 and R2 having a resistance sufficiently higher than the input impedance of the array antenna apparatus at the frequency of a radio signal are connected, respectively, between each detection rectification circuit 65, 75 and each variable capacity diode D1, D2. Amplitude modulators 61 and 71 of a controller 101 modulate a carrier according to a control signal corresponding to a control DC voltage and transmit a modulation signal while superposing on a radio signal on a coaxial cable 30. The detection rectification circuits 65 and 75 receive the modulation signal thus transmitted and demodulate and convert the control signal into the control DC voltage before being applied to each variable capacity diode D1, D2 through each resistive element R1, R2.
