PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable individually omitting encryption or electronic signature for an electronic mail not requiring the encryption or electronic signature, even if the address of the mail is registered as an address corresponding to the encryption or the address of the electronic signature. SOLUTION: A mail server is configured so that a command or a keyword indicating propriety of encryption or propriety of electronic signature can be described in the header or text of the electronic mail, thereby deciding the propriety of the encryption or electronic signature on the basis of the presence of the command or keyword.
