PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling apparatus which can reduce a tact time when a circuit board is mounted on a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a bonding device 21 for bonding an anisotropic conductive member on a circuit board, a positioning device 35 for positioning the circuit board having the anisotropic conductive member bonded thereto and a liquid crystal panel, and a compressing section 62 for compressing the positioned circuit board and liquid crystal panel. The positioning device includes an X table 37, a first Y table 39 provided on the X table, a second Y table 42 provided on the first Y table, a panel table 47 provided on the second Y table to be driven in Z andθdirections and on which the liquid crystal panel is supplied and mounted, a board table 55 provided on the first Y table to be driven in an X direction and on which the circuit board is supplied and mounted, and a backup tool 53 provided on the first Y table for supporting the lower surface of a part of the circuit board positioned relative to the liquid crystal panel with an electronic component compressively mounted thereto.
