The circuit provides a supply voltage for the two-wire telephone subscriber loop (a,b) for transmission of a transmission signal to the subscriber loop and reception of a reception signal from the subscriber loop, using a supply voltage source connected across a pair of supply circuit stages (1,2) respectively coupled to the line wires of the subscriber loop. Each of the supply circuit stages has two supply voltage terminals, the voltage source output terminals each connected to one of the supply voltage terminals of a different supply circuit stage. |
