PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device capable of changing a reproducing speed when reproducing video image data stored in a storage medium such as a hard disk and easily determining a proper reproducing speed during slow reproduction. SOLUTION: In the reproducing device such as an HDD recorder, a plurality of reproduction video images reproduced at a plurality of reproducing speeds (slow reproducing speed) which are slower than the original reproducing speed (for example, 30 frames/second) and different from each other on the basis of a piece of video image data stored in the storage medium are displayed on a displaying means in one picture, and the piece of video image data is reproduced at a reproducing speed corresponding to a reproduction video image selected from among the plurality of reproduction video images on the basis the input of a prescribed operation signal from an operating means.
