PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely prevent the U-shaped lock lever of a padlock from being intentionally cut. SOLUTION: The padlock with the U-shaped lock lever 4 is equipped with jetty portions 6, 6 formed inside of the U-shaped lock lever as tightly as possible so as to be fitted freely and concealing substantially the whole side surface area of the U-shaped lock lever when the padlock is locked, wherein recessed portions 7, 7 to which the lock portion 2a on the lock targeted object side is fitted are formed at the upper end position of the jetty portions 6, 6.
