PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: copings are easily broken even if they are heaped up in a finishing manner on the upper surface 2 and penetrating cavity portion 3, shown in a conventional concrete block A, of a basic concrete block for use in a fence, an enclosure of a flower bed, etc., and a decorative concrete block (decorated with a surface pattern, a color tone, etc.), and a corner concrete block; additional costs are required even if the coping is molded by assembling a form and pouring concrete; the beauty of finishing is not proper because the mixing of the concrete is subtly different, even if the cavity portion 3 is filled with the concrete, and flatly leveled and finished; and the cavity portion is infested with vermin such as mosquitoes because water is stored in the cavity portion when the cavity portion is kept as-is. SOLUTION: The concrete block is manufactured in such a manner that an upper surface 1 is molded as a plane in a concrete block manufacturing process so that the cavity portion 3 of the upper surface portion 2 of the conventional concrete block shown in Fig. 6, Fig. 7, and Fig. 8 can be covered with a lid.
