<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change over particulate matter collection effect according to temperature of exhaust gas with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A particulate filter 9 provided with many cells 4 partitioned in honeycomb shape by cell walls 7, alternately including sealing and upstream opening at an exhaust gas upstream sides of the adjacent cells 4, and including downstream openings 4b at downstream sides of every cells, is disposed in a flue 2. A movable sealing means 11 capable of opening and closing the downstream openings 4b of penetrating cells 40 including the upstream openings is disposed at a downstream side of the particulate filter 9. This device is provided with a temperature sensitive deformation member 15 deforming with sensing temperature to open and close the downstream openings 4b of the penetrating cells 40 by moving the movable sealing means 11. The downstream openings 4b of the penetrating cells 40 are sealed to make exhaust gas flow through the cell wall 7 when temperature of the exhaust gas is high, and the downstream openings 4b of the penetrating cells 40 are opened to make exhaust gas flow straightly into the penetrating cells 40 when temperature of the exhaust gas is low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
