The present invention relates to an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus and a control method thereof and, more specifically, to a technology to improve convenience and utility in an ultrasound diagnosis by visually providing information for a behavior according to a scanned part to a patient in the ultrasound diagnosis. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ultrasound diagnostic apparatus comprises: a storage unit to store behavior data of the patient required in ultrasound diagnosis; a processor to determine a kind of an ultrasound probe performing the ultrasound diagnosis or a diagnostic mode and to select behavior data to be acted by the patient, from the stored behavior data of the patient based on the determined kind of the ultrasound probe or the determined diagnostic mode; and at least one display unit to display the selected behavior data to be acted by the patient.
