A high light-transmittance fibre glass surface paper comprises a parchment paper and a ground coat, a secondary coating and a protective layer successively coated on both sides of the parchment paper; wherein the ground coat and the protective layer are prepared from an aqueous coating, and the secondary coating is prepared by curing an UV oil. The light transmission and the surface smoothness of the high light-transmittance fibre glass surface paper are significantly improved, and the high light-transmittance fibre glass surface paper is a paper having a glass-like effect, and has a surface smoothness of generally more than 200 seconds. The preparation method therefor comprises successively preparing a parchment paper, coating the ground coat, coating the secondary coating, surface finishing and curing the secondary coating, and coating the protective layer.
