PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a display GUI and input means according to a position of a user and a state of the user.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 100 includes a touch detection unit 509, a proximity sensor 511, a camera unit 503, and a remote control reception unit 501. The information processing apparatus 100 also includes a plurality of input means such as touch on a screen, proximity, gesture using a hand or the like, remote control, indirect operation by a user state, and automatically selects the input means according to a position of a user and a state of the user.
