A control method for a touch screen apparatus comprises: performing detection on an activation instruction of an assist mode of the touch screen apparatus; if the activation instruction of the assist mode is detected, then activating the assist mode, and displaying, on the touch screen apparatus, a pre-configured assist mode operation interface; and receiving an operation instruction generated when the assist mode operation interface is operated via a physical button disposed on the touch screen apparatus, and executing an operation response event corresponding to the operation instruction.
