This catheter assembly (10) comprises: a hollow catheter (12); a catheter hub (14) that fixes and holds the catheter (12); an inner needle (16) that is inserted through the catheter (12); a needle hub (18) that fixes and holds the inner needle (16); and a catheter operating member (20) capable of operating the movement of the catheter (12). The needle hub (18) is provided with a support member (44). The support member (44) includes a support body part (102) that is movable to: a first position (P1) where the support body part can contact and support the catheter (12); and a second position (P2) where the support body part comes out of contact from the catheter (12) at a different position from the first position (P1). |
