<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation controller for controlling the generation of power properly, corresponding to the state of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In a power generation controller for controlling the generation of power of a power generator 5, which is driven by an engine 1 mounted on a vehicle and generates power and which has a regulator 5c for keeping the voltage of a battery 6 at an adjusted level, an average engine rotating speed calculating means 4a calculates an average rotating speed of the engine for each specified duration, and an electric load state detecting means 4b detects an electrical load from the power supply condition to loads 7a. Based on the detected results of these devices, an adjusted voltage correcting means 4c and an idle speed correcting means 4d set the adjusted voltage and idle speed low, the higher the average rotating speed is and the smaller the electric load is, for lowering the power consumption and preventing overcharging and setting the adjusted voltage and idle speed high, the lower is the average rotating speed and the larger is the electric load, for preventing overdischarging.</p> |
