<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flapping and skewing of a paper sheet at all times by attaching a paper retaining member vertically moving according to the quantity of the paper sheets piled on a paper sheet guide body and bringing the paper retaining member in contact with the topmost surface of the piled paper sheets during feeding paper sheets. SOLUTION: A pair of left/light document width guides 3 or paper sheet guide bodies are attached to a document tray 1a. An inclination prevention lever 5 or a paper sheet retaining member is attached to the lower part of the document width guide 3 in such a state as vertically rotating about a rotation hinge 6. An inclination prevention rib 5a or a paper sheet abutment part is provided in the top end part of the top projecting part of the document tray 1a in the rear end part of the inclination prevention lever 5. When a document is mounted on a document tray 1a, a separate roller 18 is rotated, the operation lever 8 is rotationally moved upward, and the inclination prevention rib 5a of the inclination prevention lever 5 is lowered downward so as to bring the topmost face document in contact therewith and pressurized. The topmost surface of the document is pressurized by the inclination prevention lever 5 at all times during being fed to a document carrier path A so that the flapping and the skewing can be prevented at all times.</p> |
