OPTICAL FIBER GRATING WITH TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION

PURPOSE: An optical fiber grating is provided to stably maintain optical characteristics of the optical fiber grating according to a temperature. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber grating(23) is formed within an optical fiber(21). A cylinder metals(25) are respectively formed at both side of the optical fiber grating. The cylinder metal consists of a material having thermal expansion coefficient larger than that of the optical fiber, and prevents the expansion of the optical fiber grating by expanding in direction opposite to the expansion direction of the optical fiber grating according to the temperature change. The cylinder metal and the optical fiber grating are mounted in a predetermined position of a lower substrate. A metal tube protects each parts received therein. Thereby, the expansion of the optical fiber grating according to the change of the exterior temperature is physically prevented, so that the optical characteristics of the optical fiber grating according to a temperature can be stably maintained.
