PURPOSE: An apparatus for rapid prototyping for complex embedded system and the method using thereof are provided so that hardware and software parts of embedded system implemented to a prototyping board can be detected simultaneously by using a concurrent debugger of hardware/software. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for rapid prototyping for complex embedded system and the method using thereof includes a prototyping board. The includes a one or more programmable device for implementing various types digital hardware by programming to a device, a one or more processor, a one or more memory and a one or more connector. A hardware/software concurrent debugger is managed at a personal computer. A one or more communicating connector connects the personal computer with the prototyping board. Accordingly, hardware and software parts of embedded system implemented to a prototyping board can be detected simultaneously by using a concurrent debugger of hardware/software.
