PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change over a display of a residential quarter map to/from that of a road map according to predetermined conditions. SOLUTION: After a destination is selected by a list input, a residential quarter map within the range including the selected destination is automatically displayed on a display. Further, when a range of an image centering the destination, a present position, or a cursor center as the screen center lies off the range of coordinates of the residential quarter map, the residential quarter map is not displayed, but the road map is displayed, instead. Moreover, a map image displayed on a display by manual operation can be switched to either the residential quarter map or the road map (step 120). Moreover, when a present position approaches to a predetermined distance or less from a registered destination TP, the residential quarter map is automatically displayed on the display (step 122). |
