PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear light source, capable of enhancing a beaming light's focal distance seeing range including a light guide bar provided on a light source unit and a reflective housing encasing the light guide bar. SOLUTION: One surface of the light guide bar is a light-emission surface which is reflective, and other surfaces are all light-reflection surfaces. The emission plane has gradually changing indentations for adjusting the light refractive and reflecting indexes to ensure the light uniformity. The reflective housing covering the light guide bar is used for enhancing the light reflection and intensity. An opening for emitting light is formed in the reflective housing corresponding to the emission plane of the light guide bar, and a reflecting flange is formed at one side of the opening. Combined with the sloping and notched emission plane of the light guide bar, luminance or uniformity of light can be improved, and light can also have a wider range of beaming light's focal distance.
