DEVICE FOR TRAPPING NEUTRAL ATOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optic trap or a magnetic trap and the like which make it possible to downsize the whole device because the capacity of an area where neutral atoms can be trapped can be made larger than ever. SOLUTION: A device for trapping neutral atoms includes a multipole magnetic field generation electrode equipped with an electrode for principal current where it flows and two electrodes for secondary current which are placed in parallel to each other on both sides of the electrode for principal current and where the secondary current flows.
