PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption since there are many cases, where a radio device driven by a battery is used in a sensor network that is an applicative example of a multi-hop radio network. SOLUTION: A sensor network system is formed in a form of tree by a plurality of radio devices with a basic device 10 in a plurality of radio devices 20 as a root. For each radio device 20 for composing a network, characteristic transmission timing is prescribed according to the number of hops to the basic device 10. In the radio device 20, intermittent control is executed so that a wake-up state results, before and after transmission timing, and a stop state is brought in a section other than it.
