A variable displacement swash plate type compressor is provided to perform elastic transformation of a half-inclined spring in a radial direction with a spring supporting part when the half-inclined spring is compacted by forming the spring supporting part at a driving shaft to be inclined. A variable displacement swash plate type compressor comprises a cylinder block(110), a front housing(120), a rear housing(130), a driving shaft(140), a rotor(144), a swash plate(148), a piston(115) and a half-inclined spring(156). The front housing and the rear housing are mounted on both ends of the cylinder block. The front housing and the cylinder block passes through the driving shaft. The rotor is positioned in a crank chamber formed by the front housing and the cylinder block and unitarily rotates with the driving shaft. The piston is connected to the swash plate and compresses refrigerant inside the cylinder bore with reciprocating. The half-inclined spring is installed between the rotor and the swash plate. In the driving shaft, a spring supporting part(141) is formed.
